New release DVD
Dear Adam,
At first, I want to thank you for your information in your book and give us such opportunity to join your forum so that we can discuss and ask about our loving dog.
(To read more about the book she’s referring to, take a look at http://www.dogproblems.com/secretsbook.htm)
It’s so wonderful and precious to me.
I’ve also ordered your DVD a few days ago. I’m looking forward to it.
By the way, my problem is not in your book. I read some books and internet before I read your book. One of them suggested to use release command. And it was “OK”. So I already taught my pup (9 months) “OK” for release. Now, I’ve read your book it’s not a good idea to use “OK” but I’ve already taught him and I don’t want to confuse him. I worry that if I change that word he think there are two release command.
What should I do? I appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Yumi
[To those readers who are new to my newsletter, we use a release command to tell the dog when the exercise is finished. This means we don't need to give the dog a double command by saying "down" and then saying, "stay". In essence, "down" means go into the down-position and stay there until I come back and give you your release command. There really isn't any time you would tell your dog down and not expect him to stay, and this is why the "stay" command is redundant.)
Dear Yumi,
Not to worry. Your dog always looks at every day as a new day. So, if tomorrow you decide that Okay isn’t the release command anymore, first teach your dog the new release command, I like Take a Break, and then start correcting the dog if she gets up when you say, Okay. Just be sure you don’t use the same voice inflection as you do when you say, Take a Break. Remember, the real reason you’re changing your release command in the first place: You don’t want your dog to accidentally mistake the word Okay in common usage for being able to get up and finish the exercise.
That’s all for now, folks!
Adam

Help answer the question about New release DVD
why do retailers release new DVD's on Tuesday?
Wouldn't it make more sense to have them hit the shelves on a Monday or Sunday when the week begins? By the time the weekend comes, the new release is generally sold out. What is the reasoning behind Tuesday?

We can safely assume that music people pioneered the Tuesday release schedule.
According to the many media experts, Tuesdays are the most promising days for home-entertainment industries to release, say, 13 shiny new tracks from Toby Keith. Tuesdays are also the easiest days for data crunchers to begin tracking weekly sales of said stuff.
"It's quite simple, actually," states Mark Berman, of the trade magazine MediaWeek. "Since Monday is the day after the weekend, consumers are not at their height of awareness. And because Friday is the day before the weekend, consumers are preoccupied with other things. That leaves Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Since Tuesday comes first, it leaves Wednesday and Thursday open to actually buy [and track sales of] the product. So, Tuesday it is!"
A detailed, day-by-day explanation of this theory:
Mondays: Employed consumers are way too busy to shop. Bunches of forwarded emails about sleeping newborn pandas and kitty cats who dance, dance, dance have amassed in their inboxes. And then there are all those meetings about expediting deliverables.
Wednesdays: Rock deejays are too busy hooting about "hump day" to promote new tunes, making the middle of the week useless for the music industry.
Thursdays: This day is way too hectic for the music business, making CD releases unthinkable. Crusty blues singers are busy shooting a man in Memphis. Country session musicians are suffering their usual truck breakdowns in the Valley and calling their club promoters asking for rides.
Fridays: This day belongs to the movie industry. Nobody out here messes with Weinstein.
A music manager put it to me this way: "As I learned it, there had to be one specific day to level the playing field in reporting sales clearly–all the more important since the advent of Nielsen SoundScan. Tuesday was an arbitrary day selected to get the records in the stores early in the week but still allow a window for late shipments due to the prior weekend."
Occasionally, some company will get squirrelly and try to release a book or a CD on a Monday so that it can report higher weekly sales figures. According to another music insider, these companies are generally seen as scourges that need to be napalmed from the air.

Due to the fact that they can't release it prior to Tuesday and mail is unreliable, they likely will not ship the DVD until the Tuesday it is released, so you could get it Wednesday. (I have a friend who did it; she mailed her movie back so that it would arrive on Monday, on Tuesday the new release was processed and mailed, and it was at home on Wednesday.)

It was both Stephen Sondheim and the estate of Rogers and Hammerstein who caused this. Bono sang snippets of "Send in the Clowns" and "America" (from "West Side Story") in the song. Years ago when the album and subsequential video were released, the band received a cease and desist order. Later versions of the CD were edited as well.

@ErickReyKing How can say she was talking trash when he is trash, so she deserved her husband cheating on her because she called out another cheater.. Non Logic…. Worlds full of Cheating people and it is a real shame, because people want their cake and eat it too, and they don’t really care who they hurt as long as they get what they want… pretty sad and I feel for anyone who has been cheated regardless of who they might be.

That’s pretty fucked up to say Sandra deserved it. She’s never done anything wrong to Jesse or anything wrong ever. Her movies are great and she’s very respectful. And she deserved it? You dumb fuck.

Try Gpaly.com. I knew the old owners but they sold the biz last year. They may have inventory, but know that video game co.'s offer very little discounts. Even major retailers like WalMart purchase at $41-$44 per unit. That's why they sell for $56-$59 retail.
Vid. Game Co's keep the margin's high so they can make rockstar profits. That's why you see so much marketing for games – they can afford to!
Not so for movies – there you will find really low margins with the web eroding their distribution channels – and that's not counting bootlegging!
You may Google wholesalers on the web for suppliers, but be wary of illegal distributors that may leave you holding the bag on an FBI sting operation!

The easy answer is that nobody really knows exactly why the latest releases on DVD movies come out on Tuesdays. We can however make an educated guess.
An obvious reason and probably the most important is that the latest movies released at the theater are generally on Friday. It would not make sense for the movie industry to compete with itself for the same entertainment dollar.
Midweek for most families and singles for that fact is spent at home. A perfect time to watch a movie. Also releasing the movies on Tuesday help to draw people into the stores on a slow day.
There is a historical reason as well that goes back further than DVDs. Albums used to be released on Tuesdays to take advantage of two factors. The first is that music industry magazines used to come out on Monday thus creating a buzz that consumers would act on the next day. Also according to one source radio stations used to change play lists on Tuesday so while new music was being heard on the radio you could also go to the store and buy the album.
Now of course movie lovers everywhere know two things for certain. The first is that the latest movies are going to be released in the theater on Friday and that the latest movies on DVD are going to be coming out on Tuesday.
A great many people look forward to Tuesday's. Going to your local video store on Tuesdays can save a rather boring evening at home.

At release parties, the item is usually given away at midnight, and the party starts around 9-10pm. Games are usually played, people wear costumes, win prizes, etc. You have to call the store you plan on going to and ask what they have planned. Some may require you to pre-order the item to go or sign up for the party.
