Who in today’s world is not familiar with the Superstar band “Coldplay”. Coldplay is and alternative rock band formed in London England. This band is comprised of vocalist and front man Chris Martin, lead guitarist Johnny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion. Coldplay has sold over 35 million albums and are known for their hit singles such as the Grammy- award winning “Clocks”, “Yellow”, “The Scientists”, “Speed of Sound”, and “Viva La Vida”.
The band’s fourth studio album was released in June 2008, “Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends” Coldplay has been listening to the needs of their fans and aware of revenue pressures. Coldplay is a very people conscious band. They know that due to inflation, some of their own 16 year-old base fans will not be able to afford their CD.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin has rejected commercial selling tactics for his latest album. They have saturated the internet with free downloads of their latest single “Violet Hill” at Coldplay.com, and their entire album at Iheartmusic.com. Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends” album has racked up the biggest and most successful pre-release in iTunes history and is outselling the top 40 bands combined. The title track to Coldplay’s new album had set a new record for the most downloaded album ever. The band is busy already working on their future album which will be ready to be released in 2009, just one year after their last chart-topping mega album “Viva La Vida”

@squand5 im saying it and its message shouldnt be condemned because of that borrowing. Zepplin did it, The Who did it, but their message was their own. The musicality may seem familiar, but its not what is meant to be paid attention to. Thats what Im saying

I think there's a setting there that they email you or notify you…

@sixstringhero20 Zepp(E)lin did do some borrowing of some old blues stuff but blues is practically public domain – in a way – and to a degree. Willie Dixon’s suit got dropped – no one cared lol.

@sixstringhero20 ummm …who’s condemning the message?? And why do you say the musicality (the music???) shouldn’t be paid attention to?? It’s a SONG not a POEM. Of course one pays attention to the music of a SONG. The Who never directly plagiarized anything, to my knowledge, but they did successfully sue Shocking Blue for the song Venus (was her name) for ONE sus4 chord strummed in a similar way as Pinball Wizard. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking?

It would be great if they could come out with new music about twice a year. It would give me enough time to get into their new stuff, but not get sick of it! Then in 6 months I would be ready to listen to something different.

They release new music whenever the company that licenses it decides to send it out. what time specifically isn't known but it'd probably be midnight, if not a few hours later. the exact date will be listed on the item's page
